It’s easy to sit in front of a football match on TV and think that being a referee is easy. The truth is it takes concentration, knowledge, fitness, confidence, and great communication skills. But every referee’s journey starts somewhere. Callum, Charlie, Lewis and Tyler, 4 young Tigers players, are stepping up to help the club ensure there are referees available for home games for years to come. Club Chairperson, Simon Ford is helping them prepare to take the FA refereeing course, and this week they’ve taken part in training sessions and refereed their first friendly game. I’m sure all the parents would join with the coaches to say thank you to them and to wish them well. Thanks lads.
In twenty years time when you’re watching the World Cup Final or the Champions League FInal, keep an eye out for a Tiger keeping everybody on the straight and narrow.
