Our tea hut has become an essential part of our matchday facilities. Hot and cold food and drink can make standing on the sidelines that bit more comfortable. But with all profits going back into the club, it’s also an essential part of the club’s fundraising activities which support everything we do.
It’s served us well for the last few years, but we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to upgrade it and the rest of our facilities at Sandy Secondary School, when a huge shipping container became available.
We’ve been planning for weeks, but work really started in earnest yesterday, as the container was moved to its new home. Over the next few weeks we’ll be making sure it’s warm and dry, fitting out our new catering facilities, making use of all that awesome new storage space, and giving the container a lick of paint so that it feels at home.
Here are a few photos and videos of the progress we’ve made so far.
